A mysterious arm injury kept James Reece from having the impact that we thought he would have on our baseball program this season. We know it has been frustrating for James not to be able to contribute the way he would like, but some of that frustration was eased on Thursday night. Reece started in right field on senior night, and came up in the bottom of the 2nd with the bases loaded. He got behind in the count 0-1, but laced the next pitch, a fastball, in the left-center gap, clearing the bases for Johnson County. Reece was then removed from the game for our everyday right fielder, Austin Humphrey. It was only one at-bat, but it was one he will never forget, and hopefully one that will help him to feel better about his senior season. |
