It was throw back uniform day, but instead the Titan pitchers threw the game away literally walking 10 batters in the game. The Titan's after clinching 1st place last week decided to give some pitchers some work to prepare for the play-offs, and work they did and needed. After Tyrell Smith started and pitched a solid 4 innings, Leaving the game leading 6-3, Alex Murphy then followed with a solid inning of work striking out 3 of the 4 batters he faced. Mike Finateri then pitched a solid inning. Then it got interesting when CJ Najera pitched his only inning of the season and Brandon Uyeno who pitched only 6 innings all season for The Titans had control problems allowing the Royals to tie the game and forcing the sudden death rule to be played for the first time this season. The rule starts a team with a runner at 2nd base and a 3-2 count on every batter comes up to bat. The Titan's scored a run in their top of the inning but the Royals scored 2 runs in their half giving The Titans only their 3rd loss of the season. Hitting stand outs were Joe Keiser 2 hits (single & double) and CJ Najara on base 4 times (double, HBP, 2 walks), Chris Gschwender on base 3 times (2 singles, walk). But again in the event of a sudden death loss the player of the game goes to Scorekeeper Michelle for keeping track of every AB this season. Thank you Michelle.
