PROFILE

Jose played for Nova High School in Florida in 2004 and 2005 where they were 5A State Champions. He attended the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy in 2006 where he earned his High School diploma. A versatile player with a big frame, he catches, plays first, and plays the outfield. He will provide power in the middle of the lineup and is expected to provide run production as well as being a factor in the running game. "Jose is a rare breed in that he is a big guy who runs exceptionally well. He will be exciting to watch", states Coach Melendez. He majors in Business Administration.
