Returning to the Diamond Queens from the 2010 season, Angela has played softball since the age of six.
Among the various travel teams she has played on in the Wheeling area are the Wheeling Park High School summer and fall leagues, as well as the Mountaineer League.
In 2008 and 2009, she pitched game-winning sectional contest for West Virginia State Class-AAA schools. And, in 2009, she led her Wheeling Park High School team to the Class-AAA State Tournament by pitching, and winning, the sectional and regional titles.
Angela was named 2009 Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Class-AAAA Player of the Year.
She also was named to the OVAC All-Conference First Team, the WV All-State First Team and the All-Valley First Team.
Like all Diamond Queens, Angela excels as an athlete and a scholar, boasting of a 4.5 GPA and a class rank of 22 of 385 students at Wheeling Park High.
A 2010 graduate of WPHS, she closed out her 45-12 high school career from the circle with 380 strikeouts, 17 shutouts, and a .394 batting average.
She is continuing her academic studies as a softball scholar at West Liberty University.
