Carter played 3 years with the Blizz being picked up for his last two by Team BC for the Nationals. He went on to star with the Parksville Royals and Junior National Team being named 1st Team SS at the North American Qualifier. Carter was drafted in the 22nd Rd of the 2008 MLB Amateur Draft by the San Francisco Giants but declined to sign and played instead with the Oregon State Beaver NCAA Div I team for 2 years. In 2011 he was again drafted this time in the 29th Rd by the Arizona Diamondbacks. Carter is in their farm system and played a season with Perth in the australia Winter League in 2012/13.
