James was the 1997 Sunrise Conference Most Valuable Player. Then was drafted by the Atlanta Braves after a tryout in 1999. Was brought into the organization by Mike and Ric. If they didn't join the team at that point today's Cougars might have never come to be.
As of the end of the 2008 Spring Regular Season Hood's career adult baseball record was 50 wins - 26 loses and 5 saves.
"Hood" has become one of the best and durable pitchers in the Las Vegas adult baseball league.
