The Lady Royals lost a tight one in their home contest with Philander Smith College (Dec. 12). Despite the efforts of several lady Royals scoring in double digits (Tabitha Nelson 18pts, Caitlyn Johnson 16pts, Sibyl Thomas 12pts) and having a 9 point lead at the half, the team feel short in an exciting but overall loss 85 to 83. Maybe not a 'W" in the end, but the lady Royals should hold their heads high as the first match up with these two teams on 11-6-12 ended in a 30 point loss! So that is quite an improvement ladies!   

Ecclesia college hires new women's basketball assistant, Kaylena Anderson. Coach "K" joins the Lady Royals staff as a local graduate from Bentonville High School . She played her first two year of college ball at York College in NE and finished her last two seasons at University of Arkansas Fort Smith. Though this is her first time to coach at the college level, Kaylena feels that with her knowledge of the game and her willlingness to learn that she can offer some youth and enthusiam to the program, along with growing her confidence in the coaching field.

The 2012-13 Lady Royals get their season started this month with their first scrimmage on the road Oct. 22nd against NAC in Harrison, AR at 6:30pm.

The Royals will also have their first home scrimmage that same week against CBC at the All Star Arena Thursday Oct. 25th at 2:00pm....come out and support us!
