Welcome to the 2010-11 North Kamloops Midget AAA Lions Home page.
Since inception in the 1950s The North Kamloops Midget AAA Lions have won the British Columbia Midget AAA championship nine times (1959–60, 1960–61, 1965–66, 1975–76, 1991–92, 1992–93, 1994–95, 1998–99, and 1999-00) and twice going on to the National Championships.
The Lions served as Host to the National Midget Championships in Kamloops in 1996, earning a Bronze medal with a 3-2 record.
In 1992 the Lions went on to represent the Pacific Region in the National Midget AAA championships in Dartmouth NS, finishing in 5th place with a 2-2-1 record.
In both Kamloops appearances, 1992 and 1996, a Kamloops Lions player was awarded the Most Valuable player of the Tournament. Derek Paget in 1992 and Dustin Kelly in 1996. Derek and Dustin share that honor with such company as Sydney Crosby, Steve Bernier, Cliff Ronning, Dany Heatley, Wes Walz and Steve Smith.
No BC Team has medaled at the Nationals since the 1996 Kamloops Lions.
