It’s been a great trip. We had ups and we had downs. No one will ever forget winning the Littleton Tournament with only a handful of skaters. KMHA will always remember the 2010-11 AAA Lions taking home the hardware from Littleton. Singing “O Canada” in their barn. The Dallas Scots were a highly ranked team (top 20) in the US and we took them out in the semi’s. Arapaho was not as high in the rankings but we took them out twice just to make a point. Or how about starting the season with 3 wins against very good teams in our own tournament. NSWC, Semiahmoo, Nanaimo all fell victim to us in those first two months. 3 ties and two one-goal games to a very good PG team. Ties with Ridge Meadows and Kelowna. These were all teams ranked in the top 10 in the Province and keep in mind that one of these teams will may very likely win Provincials. The Richmond tournament was tough. We still had the injury bug, and we played 4 of the top 6 teams in that tournament, so again we showed very well beyond what our record showed. Who would forget the Street fight at Minoru with the Alaska All-stars?  Through all of this, I hope everyone came out just that much further ahead in life. We can learn from our mistakes, and keep the fond memories of our successes. I know I will. As you get a bit older, you can look forward to coaching a team yourself one day and passing on the message. It’s the greatest thing you’ll ever do.

It’s been a pleasure to be a part of this.

With that, I leave you with a quote to live by.

There are two kinds of people in the world,

those who do the work,

and those who take the credit.

Try to be in the first group, there's less competition."
