Expos drop 2 more to Giants
Posted June 27, 2015
The Expos stretched their losing streak to 6 oin a row after falling in both games of a double-header to the Saskatoon Giants today. They actually held a 5-4 lead after the 6th inning bvefore surrendering 3 in the 7th to lose 7-5, again mistakes cost them in the form of errors as well as on the bases.
In the second game they scored in the bottom of the first to take a 1-0 lead before the Giants tied the game in the 3rd. Brodie Strocen threw 5 complete innigns and left the game tied 1-1 before the wheels fell off. Walks and another costly error, tjhe only one of the game commited by the Expos, gave the Giants 3 in the 6th and that's all they would need as the Expos bats could manage only 2 hits off ta Giants starter who only required 76 pitches to throw a complete game.
Road trip for 2 in Saskatoon on Canada Day, a make-up game from a earlier rain out against the Cubs at 3pm followed by a 6:30 game against the Giants.
