Frogs win big over New Ulm

The Bird Island Bullfrogs needed only 7 innings to defeat the New Ulm Brewers on Saturday night.

Jesse Bjur pitched a 7 inning, 3 hit shutout to lead the Frogs to a 10-0 win.

The Frogs scored one run in the 1^st inning when Dylan Gass walked, advanced to second and then scored on an error.

Shawn Dollerschell scored the second run of the game after he doubled, and scored on a single by Logan Swan.

The Frogs broke the game wide open in the 4^th inning though. Three straight walks to start the inning, followed by singles by Dylan Gass and Dollerschell, and a double by Hebrink to drive in runs. A single by Mark Neubauer added the 6^th run of the inning.

The score then remained 8-2 until the bottom of the 7^th. Neubauer led off the 7^th with a triple, followed by 3 straight singles by Maiers, Seehusen and Rock.

Bird Island improves to 10-2 overall and hosts the Fairfax Cardinals on Wednesday at 7:30
