Black Sox

The first weekday game of the year. Always good times. We showed up with no starting pitcher and no catcher; or even catchers gear for that matter. This was a problem as we wanted to impress after stealing some players in the off season. Luckily after watching Trever Ulmer throw gravity balls; SS was able to take the mound and do his best Tbag impression. Lobbing pitch after pitch in hoping for the best. 6 innings later he understood how it feels to be an Ulmer and if the White Sox had a website he is sure they would trash his top speed of 62mph. The bats were a little better putting up 4 in the first before their starter settled down. Sadly after a 54 pitch first inning he had to be pulled after 5. Then it fell apart for the Sox. Hits, walks, errors; very hard to watch. We even informed the ump of the mercy rule but we played on and nothing got better. They eventually just walked off the field with the bases loaded. Celebratory beers and Beckhams delicious pizza.
