Orioles Offense Soars in Impressive Wins
Posted December 27, 2016
If you've ever read any of my baseball or basketball articles, you would realize and understand that I am a big defensive loving guy. I acutally prefer to watch or play defense as well as see a defensive game but this year, the Orioles team may be dependent on the solid offense that they are building. After falling to 0 wins and 3 losses, the Orioles had to bounce back and they're offense did just that.
While hosting the Canton C-Hawks back on December 19th, Lennox shot 50% from the three point line hitting 14 three pointers. This led to big games from Quincy Ihnen who scored 18, Josh Arlt who scored 15 and Brock Anderson who scored 13. Lennox's defense didn't do so great as they gave up 73 points but they scored 80 to win 80 to 73. They then traveled to Pipestone to play the Arrows and another great offensive effort from Lennox led to a high scoring 87 to 81 win. Lennox hadn't scored more than 76 in the last two years so to score 80+ twice was something very impressive for the Orioles. The Orioles rode their young talent again as sophomore Quincy Ihnen scored a career high 24 points. Josh Arlt wasn't far behind as he dropped 22 points. The Orioles showed that their offense can win ball games for them.
Now Lennox travels to Chamberlin to the play the Cubs with a chance to more to 3 and 3 plus a chance to start a win streak on the line. Chamberlin is 2 and 0 and they have beaten Sully Buttes and Gregory both of which are Class B schools so for them to be undefeated is something that hasn't been tested that high. It will be a really good game so fans are encouraged to make the long drive to Chamberlin and support in an opportunity to win 3 straight.

The boys would also like to make a shoutout to the Lady O's who are now 4 and 0 while being rated fifth in the state. Good luck to them too.
