PLAYERS PLEDGE

It is the intention of this pledge to promote proper behavior and respect for all participants within SGMBA.

 All players must sign this pledge before being allowed to participate in baseball and must continue to observe the principles of Fair Play.

 CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS

1.    I will play baseball because I want to, not because others want me to.

2.    I will play by the rules of baseball and in the spirit of the game.

3.    I will control my temper.

4.    I will respect my opponents.

5.    I will do my best to be a true team player.

6.    I will remember that winning isn't everything and that having fun, improving skills, making friends and doing my best are also important.

7.    I will acknowledge all good plays and performances made by those of my team and my opponents.

8.    I will remember that coaches and officials are there to help me.

9.    I will accept decisions made by coaches and/or officials and respect them.

10. I will arrive at all games and practices 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start times.

11. I will give notice by 12:00 noon on game day for any absences or late arrivals.

12. I will ensure to arrive at all games/practices with a batting helmet, protective cup, water bottle, proper footwear, and a ball hat as these items are required to be able to participate.

13. I will ensure to arrive at all games in full uniform (including ball hat).

14. I will ensure to leave my cell phone off and in my ball bag, only to be used after games/practices or only in the case of an emergency.
