Tournament Results!!_{^{APRIL SHOWERS CHAMPIONS BOYS 15U/HS}}

_{^{The NC BREAKERS defeated the VBS1in the boys 15u Championship Game. The STORM trying to avenge and earlier lost to the Breakers and they seem to be on their way in the first half as they built a 6 point half time lead. The second half STORM got twisted and couldn't hold off the BREAKERS surge as the pounded the offensive for seconds and thirds shots, down the stretch VBS1 had chances, but just couldn't get it together as the BREAKERS hunged on to win 36-27. On their way to the Championship game the NC Breakers had two teams standing in their way. In their 1st game Breakers defeated the March Maddness Champs Suffolk Jr. Prep 36-34. In another close game the NC Breakers led by #50 Spanky defeated VBS1 35-31. VBS1 found their way to the Championship game, after losing to the NC Breakers, VBS1 had to defeat another NC team the THUNDER to get to the Championship game. Coach Ewell made it simple to his team you win by ten you in, lose by anything you out. The 1st half led by #24 Steve saw the THUNDER build a 26-14 lead. In the 2nd half the STORM came out with their press and VBS1 put together the most impressive victory of the young season, led by a host of scoring from LJ with 16, Mark with 13, Dee with 11, and outstanding hustling from Byron the VBS1 storm went on a 40-18 point second half scoring spree to defeat the THUNDER 54-44.}} In other action: Suffork Jr. Prep defeated VBS2 51-46; NC Thunder defeated VBS2 34-28

_{^{The HS BOYS had three teams finished with a 3-0 record including the March Maddness champs VB HEAT, so we had to used the points system and that eliminated the VB HEAT. I still like to give props to the VB HEAT team which is 5-0 in 2010. So in the championship game TEAM VENOM defeat VBS ELITE. TEAM VENOM behind the scoring of Brite with 10 points defeated the GRASSFIELD CHARGERS 41-27; in their 2nd game TV defeated VB STORM 16U 36-23 Darrius lead the VBS with 10 points. The VBS ELITE got there with two impressive win, as they defeated MARYLAND CARDINALS 65-56 and VBS 17U 61-47; at press time no individuals stats were release. The CHAMPIONSHIP game in the 1st half saw both team missing opportunity to score easy baskets at the half TV had a slight 4 point lead 19-14. The 2nd half saw TV turn up the heat and walk away with a 46-29 victory. HALL lead TV with 14 points and was name the tournament MVP.}}

In other action: VB Heat defeated VBS 17U 50-45; VBS 16U defeated Grassfield Chargers 36-23.
