The Lightning moved into 3rd place and only 1 game behind in the standings by completing their sweep of the Panthers 11-1. It was a team effort on offense as Eastview only had 6 hits but they had a good eye at the plate and moved runners around by swiping 6 bases. Dickson (CG, 3 H, 1 ER) kept Lakeville North batters off balanced with a good fastball-curveball mix. He struck out four and earned his first win on the year. Eastview hosts league leaders New Prague Tuesday afternoon. New Prague defeated them in the opener this season 4-1 but Eastview has been since much improved. John Melzarek (3-2, 0.82) will take the mound for his fifth start on the year. First pitch is scheduled for 5:15pm.
