The Suns cruise past Kiel Varsity, 15-5.
Kiel Varsity didn't have a chance on Friday, as the Suns won in blowout fashion, 15-5 in six innings at Kiel HS.
The Suns scored five runs in the sixth. They scored in the sixth on a passed ball, an error, a groundout by Jonah Maas, an RBI single by Collin Liebherr, and a bases loaded walk by A Winkel.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with four lead changes.
The Suns pulled out the win thanks to a strong third inning. The Suns scored on a three-run home run by Nick Rosenthal off C Debroux, scoring Travis Bizub and Zach Biermann.
Nick Rosenthal racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Suns.
Sam Michels recorded the win for the Suns even though he allowed five runs over four innings. He struck out three, walked four and surrendered six hits.
T Nickel took the loss for Kiel Varsity. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
The top of the first saw the Suns take an early lead, 1-0. A single by Nick Rosenthal, bringing home Zach started the inning off.
Kiel Varsity quickly matched Easts strong inning with a three-run inning of its own in the first. Kiel Varsity scored on an RBI single by T Nickel, an RBI single by T Driscoll, and an RBI single by N Walsh.
East brought home one run in the second inning, and matched that run total in the fourth. In the second, they scored on a groundout by Seth Schrank, scoring Nathan Farrington.
They added two more runs in the top of the fifth. A error scored Turner Pruett to start the scoring in the inning.
