| Game Notes: In the second game of pool play in the Firebird fathers Day Tourn. The U12 Firebirds (Black) Team beat a very strong Bloomington Astros Team from Ill. 7-5. This win made the Firebirds 2-0 in Div. 1 pool play with one more game on Sunday to go. This game was highlighted by strong pitching by TY Neuschaefer and Mitch Ducett. Also Brian Hepworth and Mitch Ducett each had 2 hits and scored 2 runs and had 1 RBI each to lead the offensive side of the game for the Firebirds. Alex Lawrence broke the 5-5 tie in the 5th inning with a 2 out Double to score Brian Hepworth and Mitch Ducett with the winning runs. This game also had that good Firebird defense to back up our pitchers. | ||||||||||
