A great section game battle. Bluejays strike instantly in the 1st, KP singled in Johnson. Then the Bluejays bats went silent or as we call it cruise control. Tony at one point set down 19 Huskies in a row, he was rolling. Plato 1-0, Then the dreaded bottom of the 9th. Hutch broke through with a sac fly to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th. Top 10....KP leads off with a walk, D-Hue sacs him over, Eric walks on a ball in the dirt, KP takes 3rd. Boomer hits a grounder to 1st, KP beats the throw home (2-1), and the ball goes to the back stop. Then a out, next Ode gets walked, pass ball Eric scores (3-1). Copas then is beaned to fill the bases. Boothy singles in 2 more insurance runs. Tony has a 1,2,3 10th .Final 5-1, 10 inns. Tony went all 10 inns, with 116 pitches. OH that scrappy Plato "9"!!!! Note, The 3,4,5,6 hitters for Plato combined for 0-17 on the night...ouch! With this win Plato now is 2-0 in section play. |
