The Plato Bluejays received some disheartening news this past week that we will be moved to "CLASS B" due to the new point system that the Minnesota State Board has implemented for the upcoming 2019 Season.  The state board is implementing this new point system to try and regulate how you manage and create your team to "Level the Playing Field."  The State board has stated that the Magic number to stay below to stay in Class C or Move up to Class B is "49"

Here is how you receive your points: Player based points by the level you competed at after High School (Pro; Div.I; Div. II; Div. III; Juco) (Players from your town/school District receive 0 points) (PLATO ONLY HAS 4 PLAYER POINTS!!!), Population Points (City or School District pending on what you Claim) (PLATO HAS 12 POINTS for SCHOOL DISTRICT!!!), and Success points (PLATO HAS 34 POINTS!!!) on level of State Tournament reched each year on a last 5 years basis.

Plato has a grand total of "50" Points.  Most, coming from the success points done with almost all local Players!!!

For more information on how this "New Regulation" will better amateur baseball, please read the following blog by the Herald Journal and you be the judge if you think it is right!!!!!

Plato now has to appear at the Nov. 17th State Board meeting in St. Cloud at the Legion to appeal our case and fight this move.  This is an open meeting and can be attended by anyone.  Any support from baseball lovers and supports would be appreciated!

The Plato Bluejays are your 2018 Minnesota State Amateur Baseball  "Class C" Champions!!!

Thanks to all Fans and Sponsors for your support!!
