**game shortened due to time** Brodeur & Anderson (5) Eastview opened up the 2009 campaign with a tough 8-4 loss against a talented Lakeville North squad. Tyler Brodeur (4 IP, 4 H) pitched four strong innings yielding five runs but only two of which were earned. The Lightning defense had four errors and the Panthers made them pay for their mistakes in the field. Eastview outhit the Panthers 9-8 and were led on offense by the bottom of the order. Metz (2B, RS, RBI), Huhner (RBI 1B) & Voss (1B, BB, RS) went a combined 4 for 6 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Eastview comes back right away with another home game against Lakeville -- this time it is the Cougars of Lakeville South. Both teams will be looking for their first win after Lakeville South lost 15-2 to Burnsville in their opener. Eastview will send Brady Kelley (0-0, 0.00) to the bump in his first start on the season. Game time is set for 6:15pm at the EVHS Varsity Field. Brodeur (L, 0-1) |
