Brodeur & Kelley (5) Eastview started a long week of baseball off by defeating Burnsville 4-2. The Blaze came in at 2-0 and fresh off easy 10-run mercy rule victories. Each team only had 5 hits as the pitchers made good pitches at good times. Eastview's Tyler Brodeur (4 2/3 IP, 1 ER) earned his first victory yielding only 4 hits and was helped in the 4th inning by some stellar defense at first base by Matt Huhner. Eastview got touched for an unearned run in the 5th with three errors in that frame. They came back and got the run back, however keeping the margin at two -- and it stayed that way until the save with Brady Kelley (2 1/3 IP, 3 K) earning his first save. The offense was led by Vince Metz (2 RS), Alex Reller (2 SAC) & Lucas Anderson (RBI 1B). The Lightning come back tomorrow with a home game against rival Apple Valley who is 1-1 in league play.
