The Lightning were put on their heels early when Lakeville struck early with a run in the first. After Eastview put their only run on the board in the second on an error and aggressive baserunning, the Panthers battled back with a two-out hit to take the lead and never looked back. Lakeville North pulled away in the 4th and ended the game with a hit in the 6th to win it 11-1 on the ten-run mercy rule. The only men to reach base were Huhner (BB) & Voss (2 1B, SB, RS). The Lightning had only one error on defense for the second consecutive night. After starting the season 5-2, the Lightning have now dropped 8 of their last 11 games. They have a few nights off before Friday night's tournament opener vs Lacrosse. Eastview heads to Rochester for the weekend tournament and will send Brady Kelley (1-2, 3.20) to the bump to try and get things turned around.
