Game
Notes:
Woods & Anderson (7)
The Lightning lost a close battle to IGH 6-4. Woods (6 H, 2 ER, 3 K) pitched 6 great innings and kept Eastview within striking distance the entire time. After walking the first batter of the game, he did not give up another free pass. Unfortunately, the Lightning defense hurt themselves again by committing 4 errors, leading to 3 unearned runs. The offense also only got 4 hits and left 8 runners on base in scoring position. The Lightning battled back and had the tying run on 2nd base but could not come through with another hit. The offense was led by Higgins (sb, bb, r), Schul (3 bb), Stark (sb, bb, rbi), & Ritacco (sb, r, rbi)- all who reached base multiple times. The Lightning return to action Monday night against league leading Northfield. Eastview will be trying to avenge an earlier 18-5 blowout loss from their 2nd game of the year.
