Game
Notes:
Devine & Ritacco (4)
The Lightning could not get back on track after the long 4th of July layover. They lost 9-2 on a Saturday afternoon league game against Owatonna. Owatonna hopped to an early lead but the Lightning fought back within one. Owatonna then scored six straight unanswered runs and put the game away. The offense had six hits and was led by Ritacco (2 2b), Anderson (2 bb, r), & Higgins (2 h). Devine (5 ER, 6 H, 3 BB, 1 HP) started the game but only lasted 3 innings. Ritacco (2 ER, 4 H) came in and pitched very well. Outside of giving up 4 straight weak hits, he only yielded one other baserunner. The Lightning come back tomorrow to face district rival Rosemount in hopes of avenging a loss from earlier this year. Stark (2-2, 2.33) will be on the bump looking for his third win on the year, which would tie him for the team lead.
