Eastview (5-5) defeated tournament host River Falls 8-7 in an elimination game in pool play 8-7. After being down 4-1 and 7-4, the Lightning battled back twice and won on a walkoff 2-run double by Scott Perlenfein (RS, SB, BB) completing the comeback in their final at bats. The game was called after 5 innings due to time constraints, immediately after the double. The Lightning did a much better job of 2-out hitting against River Falls. Buck (6 K) started well by striking out 6 of the first 7 hitters but ran into trouble in the 3rd inning and Perlenfein made his team-leading 6th appearance in the team's 10 games. Eastview comes back against Oakdale, also 1-1 in pool play, in another elimination game. Oakldale lost to Lake Elmo but smoked River Falls 18-3. Perlenfein (3-1, 2.58) will take the ball to start the game after closing this one out. It will only be his seocnd start on the season but he is looking for win #4 already.
