Notes:
Bluejays 10 NG 6 Finally a warm day to play baseball, but in Plato that means a 25 mph wind gusting straight in. The 1st time outside for both teams and the sloppy play showed. J Bratsch got the start and struggled in the 1st with control, and NG took advantage scoring 4 runs. Plato gets 2 in the 4th on an rbi ground out by Prehn and sac fly by Levi. NG took advantage of 3 walks with a 2 run double in 5th to make the score 6-2 NG. Plato came right back in bottom half with a big 2 out, 2 run single by Eric. 6-4 NG. Bluejays started seeing the ball in the 7th, they had 5 hits, and walked twice to plate 4 runners. Eric had another big 2 run double, and Nixy and prehn had rbi doubles as well. 8-6 Plato Plato would add 2 insurance runs in bottom 8th and go on to win 10-6. Prehn got the win in relief of Bratsch and Lang pitched the 9th. Summary, Any win early in the yr is a big win. With lack or practices and battling the elements, and both teams struggling with control. Eric (4 Rbi), Johnson, & Prehn each had 2 hits to lead the offense. W Prehn L Jones |
