Eastview (13-9-1) lost its Quarterfinal game of the Eagan Tournament to Little Falls 5-0. The Lightning shot themselves in the foot early on. After a few bloop hits by Little Falls to load the bases in the 1st, there was a crucial error on a weak groundball. The next 3 hitters reached base and Little Falls pushed 4 unearned runs across. The Little Falls pitcher baffled Eastview hitters all game as the Lightning only managed 4 hits and a walk, while striking out 13 times (7 looking). The biggest thing for Eastview was watching too many pitches go by - especially with 2 strikes! Eastview takes a few days off before heading to Bloomington to face off in a battle for 3rd place. Eastview will enter play 4-4 in league play while Bloomington is one game behind at 4-6. Chris Ferber (0-0, 12.02) will take the ball in his first start on his young season.
