Eastview (26-15-1) fell short in the league playoff championship to EP Red by a score of 5-2. The Eagles scored first in the 3rd and 4th innings but Eastview fought to get one back to cut the lead in half. With 2 outs and a runner on 2nd, Ryder Ronhovde drove in the first Lightning run. With the score 2-1, the Eagles broke the game open with a 3-run 5th inning to make it 5-1. Eastview fought back to get the tying run to the plate in the top of the 6th but failed to cut the lead beyond 5-2. The score stayed that way as the Eagles took the playoff championship. It was a pitcher's dual all game long as each team only had 5 hits. Eden Prairie wasn't hurt by walks and untimely errors like Eastview was. Against some of the best teams in the state, Eastview finished 7-4 in postseason play. Making it even more impressive was how they were shorthanded for all postseason play. Many records were broken for this 2010 Eastview Lightning squad. To look at those, or past teams coached, use the buttons on the left side of the website. It was ultimately a very successful summer by your boys in blue and black.
