ST CLOUD -- Eastview (24-16-2) lost its MSF State Tournament opener to Champlin Park by a score of 5-0. The Lightning bats were dead all game long as it took until the 7th inning to get their first, and only, hit of the game. Eastview's staff only gave up 3 earned runs on 6 hits, led by Selchow's three innings of not giving up a run. The Lightning hope to bounce back in the morning against Shakopee. They are 2-0 against them on the season and will give the ball to Adam Stockwell (3-1, 3.40) for his third start against them on the season. In 12 innings against them, he has given up only 2 runs. He hopes for that continued success as Eastview is in an elimination game for the opportunity to advance to bracket play. Game time is set for 1045am at Bob Cross Park.
