APPLE VALLEY -- Eastview (0-2) lost its second consecutive game in three nights by a score of 10-9. After falling behind by scores of 2-0, 4-2 6-3 & 7-6, the Lightning kept chipping away and took a lead at 7-6, which lasted not even a half inning. Prior Lake kept the timely hits coming and had aggressive baserunning, which had Eastview on its toes. Once again, the Lightning defense let them down as the pitching staff only gave up 4 earned runs for the evening. Leading the offense was Terlizzi (2 1B, SB), McDevitt (SB, 3 BB) Bangh (2 RS, 2 BB) & Dickson (2B, RS, RBI). The staff did strike out 8 Laker batters but it was not enough as they fell short. With the loss, Eastview falls 1.5 games behind the division leaders Lakeville North & Prior Lake, who are both currently 1-0. Eastview comes back right away with a road game against district rival Apple Valley, who lost Tuesday night to Burnsville by a run. Game time is set for 8pm at Legion Field. The probable starting pitcher is TBD still.
