PRIOR LAKE -- Eastview (15-8-2) battled back to earn a tie with Chaska as time expired after 7 innings. The Hawks jumped on the board early by scoring two in the second. With 2 outs and a guy on 3rd, their bottom two hitters came through with an RBI single and a walk followed by an error to push the second run across. The score was the same until the 6th when the Lightning cut the lead in half. With 2-out and nobody on, Selchow doubled and McDevitt singled him in. Following two more baserunners reaching base to load the bases, Chaska got out of the bases loaded jam holding their 2-1 lead. With 2 outs in the 7th, Chaska scored 3 runs with a 2-out single, a double and a triple. Wilson came on to get an inning ending lineout to hold the runner at 3rd. In the bottom of the 7th, Chaska rode their starter the whole way as he started to lose his control a little bit. Dickson led off the inning by reaching on an error and Stockwell reached base on a 4 pitch walk. After a fielders choice, Wilson loaded the bases with a walk. Selchow singled in a run and McDevitt followed with a deep SAC fly to cut the score to 5-3. With 2-out Johansen knocked in a run with a single and pushed the tying run to 3rd base. On an 0-2 count, Johansen left first base early, drawing a balk by the pitcher to tie the game. The Hawks got out of the jam to hold on for the tie after not losing throughout the entire game. By earning a tie, the Lightning advance to Sunday's semifinals with two wins on Saturday. They start by facing Hillcrest and send Adam Stockwell (1-0, 3.00) to the mound for his 3rd start on the season -- and first start in two weeks. Game time is set for 10am at Lakefront Park.
