BURNSVILLE -- Eastview (15-7-1) lost in its second consecutive championship game - this time to Apple Valley 11-1. After allowing 2 runs in the 1st, the Lightning kept it close and got within a run in the 4th. Dickson had a 2-out single, stole second base and scored on a McDevitt single. That was all the Lightning had to offer on offense as it couldn't get anything going. The Eagles played stellar defense, which included two double plays turned. For the second time on the weekend, Apple Valley outplayed Eastview in every facet of the game. Eastview bounces back Tuesday night with a huge league game against Mankato. The Royals defeated the Lightning 5-1 on their home field and this time Eastview hopes to come back strong. They will bring Keegan Dickson (2-1, 1.84) to the mound for his 3rd start of the season. The winner of the game will hold sole possession of second place in league. Eastview is 4-1-1 in games following a loss on the season. Game time is set for 515pm at Quarry Point #1, where the Lightning hold a 4-0 record on the year.
