The Jays scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to take the openning game against Cranbrook. Cranbrook scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning, but couldn't hold the lead. The Jays rally was keyed by four straight hits by Brad McLeod, Kellen Jones, Matt Larmour and Luke Stone.
The Jays jumped back into the game in the fourth inning after trailng 5-1. Layne Stopanski's pinch hit three run homer cut the lead to 5-4. The Jays tacked on another run to tie the game at 5-5. At the end of seven innings, the game was knotted at 6-6. Offensively the Jays were led by Stopanski as well as Matt Larmour, who had three hits and an RBI.
Luke Stone, pitching in relief of Connor Jones in the eighth inning, recorded one out to pick up his first legion win of the season. Kellen Jones started the game, allowing 6 runs in 4 2/3 innings of work. The Jays improve to 6-3 in conference and 17-8 overall.
