After suffering a 10-run loss earlier in the day against the Albany Rockets, the Jays responded by beating the Idaho Falls Russets 9-1 in a game that was called after six innings because of the eight-run mercy rule. The Jays scored nine runs despite stranding 16 runners on base. Offensively the Jays were led by Brady Glover who went two for two at the plate with three RBI's. On the mound, Matt McCauley went the distance to pick up his second win of the season. McCauly only allowed three hits over six innings. He also struck out three batters. The Jays improve to 12-5 overall and will face the Boise Gems tomorrow for the opportunity to play in the tournament championship game on Sunday.
