| Game Notes: Pecatonica got off to a great start as they took a 4-1 lead in the 1st. Scoring were J. Scoville (on a double hit by D. Conwell), J. Melvin and D. Conwell (on a long single to right field hit by N. Gilbertson), and G. Daley who crossed home when S. Swenson walked with bases loaded. The Vikings extended the lead with another run (J. Scoville) on a sacrifice by D. Conwell. In the third, although S. Swenson scored on a single hit by J. Scoville, the Vikings saw their 6-1 lead evaporate when New Glarus rallied and scored 8 runs on numerous Viking errors. New Glarus extended that lead by 4 in the 5th and then sealed the Vikings' fate by holding Pec scoreless in three straight innings...thereby handing Pec their first loss of the 2009 season. | |||||||||
