Game
Notes:
Higgins & Edsten (5)
Owatonna traveled to town in Eastview's first game on their own turf. The Lightning took an early lead but coughed it up in the 4th and 5th innings. Eastview fought back with 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th, sparked by Sikich's fielders choice error on the catcher, which got the winning runs across the plate. The Lightning had some brilliance on the mound from both Higgins (4.3 IP, H, 3 K, 3 R) and Edsten (W, 2.7 IP, K). The defense for the Lightning was much improved, despite the 5 errors (3 of which on pickoff attempts). The offense was led by Higgins (3 BB), Vossen (3 BB), and Stark (2 BB, 2 RBI). The Lightning have an off day and travel to Inver Grove Heights Thursday in attempt of winning their third straight game. Christian (0-3) will be on the bump looking for his first win on the year.
