Welcome to the site of the Elbert County Blue Devils! This site is dedicated to the football program of Elbert County High School, Elberton, GA , under the guidance of Principal Rick Higginbotham and Head Coach Brent Miller.  The Blue Devils play in Region 8-AAA.

Dear Blue Devil Fans:

Welcome to the upcoming 2009 football season at E.C.C.H.S. We greatly appreciate your support for our program.  This year's team has worked extremely hard in the weight room and as a team has made tremendous gains from where they were a year ago. Our program prides itself on developing quality student-athletes both on the gridiron and in the classroom. Our young men have put in tremendous time and effort to make this upcoming season a successful one.  We are trying to instill in our young men the tools that it takes to be a CHAMPION....Teamwork, Character, Work Ethic, Attitude, and Goal Setting. I feel if we can use the game of football to teach these traits that not only will we be successful in winning football games we will be successful in preparing these young men for the game of life! Our players and coaches have worked hard to turn this program back around in order to make this program the best it can be so that we are able to put a team on the field that will make Elbert County High School and our community proud. We have made tremendous gains the past 2 years from where started. We have instilled a weight program at the middle school in which our 7th and 8th graders are now lifting year round as our high school players are.  We recently competed in a weight meet and won it as we won 11 out of 18 medals. At this meet 3 of our 7th graders won medals in their weight classes and this was against 9th -11th graders at a AAAA school. We have not lost a weight meet the past 2 years. The future of Elbert County Blue Devil Football looks very bright! We greatly appreciate your support for our football program.
