The Red Tide 10-U Girls Win AAU Division III National Championship in Hampton, VA

Boo Williams Red Tide 10U Girls won the AAU Division III National Championship held in Hampton, VA on June 30th-July 3rd. Coach Richard Polinsky and the 10U team culminated what began as a "rebuilding year/team" into the top rated Division III team in the country. Bolstered by seasoned starters Chelsea Harrison, Katie Polinsky, Kunani "Peanut" Criswell and Alexis Smith, the Red Tide rolled through the 1st annual D3 tourney with dominance and pride. The surprise "heroes" of the championship game were Raegan Tatum and first time starter Jasmine Ferebee. Both not only started, but played the entire game, as the Red Tide defeated the Maryland Flames 44-6. Jasmine highlighted her best game of the year by scoring 4 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Raegan provided the defensive intensity needed by holding the Flames' top scorer to only 2 points for the entire game. Robyn Reed, Taylor Edwards and new comer, Tyler Holloway, did everything else that was needed to cap off the season with our best tournament play of the year. CONGRATULATIONS RED TIDE!!!

Meet the Newest Addition to the Red Tide Family - Tyler Holloway

Tyler has been a dominating force on defense. With her size and strength, she surprises many with her quickness. Since moving into the starting lineup, Tyler has caused opponents to think twice before driving to the basket. Welcome aboard Tyler!!!

Congratulations Chelsea!

Congratulations to Red Tide Point Guard Chelsea Harrison whose PTA sponsored "Reflections" photography entry has been selected as 1st Place Winner in the state of Virginia. Chelsea's entry, based on the theme "How to Make the World a Better Place", has previously garnered her 1st place awards at Greenbrier Middle School, the City of Chesapeake, and the Hampton Roads District. Her entry is now under consideration for the Top Prize in the Nation. Outstanding work Chelsea!!!
