A slow start on another cold, wet, windy day had the Pirates scratching their heads until a 12 run outburst in the third inning propelled them to a 19-2 victory over Foster. Jonny Locher led off the third with a solo homerun to left. Four doubles, four singles and another Locher homer put this one in "Cruise Control." Foster came back to score a couple of runs in the bottom of the frame but then Highline pounded out eight more base knocks in the top of the fourth to widen the lead to 19-2. Ten different Pirates registered basehits in the contest including Freshman Jordan Sagmoan who singled in the fourth.
Ben antush went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI's and Jonny Rhodes and Cole Porter were 3-for-5 on the day. Rhodes also picked up the vixcory on the mound upping his record to 2-0 for the year. Next up for the Pirates is a 3:30 game tomorrow (Wednesday) at Renton.
