Posted Mar 24/12 - PIRATES FALL TO EAGLES

Highline failed to cash in on some golden opportunities...Lindbergh did, and walked away with a 9-4 win on Friday.  The Pirates loaded the bases in the first inning but managed just one run.  Lindbergh countered with thee runs in their half, sending nine men to the plate.  Highline recaptured the lead in the top of the second highlighted by Jonny Locher's two run homer.  Jacob Wydick's sacrifice fly put the Pirates up 4-3.  Highline failed to score in the third leaving the bases loaded again.  Lindbergh had four singles in the bottom of the third and scored two runs to retake the lead.  Highline was shut down the rest of the way and went home with their first loss of the year.  Justin Kemp and Locher had two hits each on the day.  Ryan Ward took the loss on the hill.  The Pirate's home opener is scheduled for this coming Wednesday as Hazen comes to Moshier field for a 3:30 contest.

Former Pirate Eric Todd was on hand for the Lindbergh game and took some spectacular photos.  They can be viewed on his website at the following link...
