Well Angels fans.  Your team is back to their winning ways. On Saturday, the Angels played a double-header against Cowichan Valley on the Island. In the first game, Cowichan played tough and kept it close for 5 innings staying within 1 run.  In the 6th inning, the Angels scored two runs to make it 8-6.  Then after giving up no runs, the Angels exploded for 5 runs in the 7th inning and then shut down Cowichan in their last at bat to win the first game 13-6.  Jeremyi, Noah and Liam pitched and combined for the victory.

The second game started off close as it was 2-2 after to but after that it was a different story than the first game. The Angels bats  (now warmed up from game 1) went to work in the 3rd inning, scoring 5 runs to make it 7-2 after 3 innings. They added 3 more runs in the 4th inning and then 5 more runs in the 5th.  This offensive display was led by Sheldon who hit 2 triples and one inside the park homer during those 3 innings! Way to go Sheldon!  Great pitching by Chase and then Corey limited Cowichan to just 3 runs. Final score Angels 14, Cowichan 3.  

The Angels travel to Nanaimo on Sunday to face Nanaimo in a double-header.
