The New look Angels sent the "B" lineup to Riverview to meet the A's in the 2012 season opener. With the weather calling for a blue sky day, the Angels had no idea what they were getting into.

The Angels came out on top in the first game with a 12-11 walk fest. The Angels sent 41 Batters to the plate and came out on top. Walks were the issue in this first game, but it was settled in the 7th. Marcel made his first start as an Angel and gave 100%.

The next game was a little different. With game 2 starter Kent getting hit in his pitching arm in game one, we went to our spot starter Justin. With 3 minutes before game time Justin was not feeling it, so Rob Brookins decided to let the team ride on him.

Rob did all the angels could ask from him and had a 5 run lead as a cushion. The A's came to the plate hungry and ended up putting up 12 for the win.

Justin decided to take a swing of the lumber and took a fastball of his hand, breaking it in the process. He will be out for the season and might make it back in time for playoffs.
