Good morning baseball fans, it’s a beautiful day in Portland.

Happy august everyone, hear those locusts singing?  The Portland rockets

Host the world baseball congress tournament this weekend.  Cincinnati, Cleveland,

Chicago, ft. wayne, Lebanon, Portland. All season long, the  rockets have been road

Warriors , driving to take on the competition,  now the competition is coming to

Portland.

Games begin tonite 630 the Chicago Illinois jayhawks vs the Cleveland fightin’ titans

The Portland rockets at 815 will take on the Lebanon merchants. At jay county high school the ft. wayne jackers will match up with the Cincinnati chiefs. 

The rockets will also be in action sat. at 415 vs the Cincinnati chiefs/   games will be ongoing all day sat starting at

Noon. Championship round will be Sunday also at noon.

The Illinois jayhawks have won this blockbuster 2 out of the last 3 years. Battle creek won the other year.

My friend 8 year old friend  matt Steiner from Geneva attended his first game in Cincinnati yesterday and what a thrill—I remember my first game seeing all that green in tiger stadium
