As we begin the run-up to opening our new school, I wanted to pass along some information about physicals. Your student will not be allowed to try out or participate in any athletic programs until you they have completed a physical and turned in all required forms.

 

• Physical packets will be available at all campuses as well as online at the athletics link of katyisd.org by mid-April. Please do not get your 2013-2014 physical prior to May 1^st, it will not be valid for next year.

 

• Please read the packet carefully and fill out all required forms.

 

• I recommend that you attend one of these physicals to help insure that your student’s paperwork is processed in a timely manner.
  • Thursday, May 9, at Woodcreek Junior High from 5:30-6:15
  • Thursday, May 16, at Seven Lakes High School from 5:30-6:15
  • Thursday, May 30 at Cinco Ranch High School from 5:30-6:15

 

• If you are getting a physical with your family physician, you can still turn in your physical packets at these locations and times. Physical packets can also be turned in to Crystal Janczak at the Tompkins administrative office at SLJH until the end of the semester. During the summer, I will be at the Tompkins Strength and Conditioning Camp at Woodcreek Junior High to collect physical packets.

 

• I would highly encourage you to get your physical and turn in your physical packet as early as possible. It has been my experience that waiting until August can cause athletes to miss practice time from unforeseen problems with their physical or other packet documents.
