The Indians went through a busy 3 game weekend with 2 games against Victoria Black on Saturday and then a single game vs Victoria Red on Sunday. Jordan Dray got the win on Saturday in game 1 by going a solid 5 innings in a game the Indians broke open late to come up with a 10-0 victory.

Colton Rieta pitched the 2nd game and did a great job throughout to lead the Indians to a 10-3 win and a sweep for the day. The games were closer than the score indicated and everyone knows this Victoria Black team will get stronger as the season moves forward.

Sunday was a different story as the Victoria Red team bolted out to a 12-0 lead in the 3rd inning as their bats were on fire. The game looked lost but the Indians would not give up and battled back hard only to lose 14-13 and left the tying run on 3rd with 2 outs in the 7th inning. Victoria had removed several of their starting line-up with a 12-0 lead but the Indians deserve full credit for bouncing back, although falling just short.

Indians travel to Burnaby Tuesday night for a battle with their cross-town rivals the Burnaby Braves who have gotten off to a fast start.
