Game 1 - The Indians started the first of 2 on the day vs Vic Red with Alan getting the start on the bump. He was solid through 4 innings and left with giving up only 2 runs in his 63 pitch outing. Matt continued his power display with a 2 run blast to put us up 2-1 but Victoria tied it in the bottom of 4. Indians went up 3-2 in the top of 5 when Riley scored after Coleton reached on an error with 2 out. Jacob Doyle came in to relieve but didn't have his best stuff on this day. We gave him a cushion with 5 runs in the top of the 6th highlighted by a single from Aaron followed by a 2B from Riley. Victoria got one back in the bottom of 6 to close the Indians lead to 8-3 and then we scored 1 in the top of the 7th when Aaron singled in Doyle to put us up 9-3. However Doyle had a rough 7th and needed relief help from Kyle who struck out the final 2 Victoria hitters with the tying run on 2nd and the Indians escaped with a wild 9-7 win.

Game 2 - The Indians sent ace Jordan Dray to the mound in game 2 hoping for a sweep and a 3-0 Island trip. Things started well in the top of 1 when Kyle led off with a single and scored when Jordan doubled to deep left. Dray then scampered home on a WP for a 2-0 Indians lead in the top of the 1st. That score held to the bottom of the 3rd when the Reds scored 5 times on 5 hits to take a 5-2 lead. The Indians got one back in the top of 4 when Alan led off with a double and scored on the front end of a double steal attempt when Beau was thrown out at 2nd. Dray settled down with an easy 4th inning and Tri-City tied the game in the top of 5 with a pair of runs courtesy of a Dray HR. However Victoria's star Jason Willow led off the bottom of the 5th with a lead-off 2B and came around to score to put the hosts up 6-5 and they added another in the inning courtesy of an Indians infield error. Tri-City threatened in the top of 7 when Jacob D and Kyle led off with singles but Alan grounded to 3rd on a close play to end the game with the Indians on the wrong side of a 7-5 final. The win for Victoria gave them the season series 2-1 over the Indians and left the Indians coaching staff scratching their heads as to why the Victoria team doesn't have a better record than they do as they have a pretty solid team and really should have a better record than they do.
