The Indians travelled to Vancouver Island on the weekend with the first stop being in Nanaimo on Saturday to face the young and rapidly improving Pirates. The Indians jumped out early when Jordan, Kyle, and Aaron all scored for a 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Max drew the start on the hill but struggled in the 1st inning with his location and the Pirates were able to get those 3 runs right back in the bottom of the 1st. Max would go on to settle in and pitch 5 innings for the win. Aaron Sinclaire led off the 3rd inning with his 2nd of 3 hits on the day and was followed by a solid single from Jacob Doyle to set the table for RBI blasts from Alan and Riley to put the Indians up 6-3. Jordan hit a solo HR in the 4th inning and then after the Pirates got a run back in the bottom of the 4^th, he drove in Coleton Rieta with an RBI single to make it 8-4. Jacob Simms then singled in Jacob Doyle in the 7th to close out with 9-4 victory; which also featured the 2013 pitching debut for Kyle Stubbins who looked sharp in his 2 innings.
