| Today's home game against the Sullivan East Patriots has been postponed. It will be made up as the second game of a doubleheader on May 3rd. These postponements may just seem like an inconvenience now, but they could really hurt our ball club later in the season. If we have to play four or five games a week later on, due to all of these postponements, it will put a huge strain on our pitching staff. A pitcher who normally starts a game and throws around 60+ pitches, usually does not get back on the mound until they have had at least three days rest. I say that to say, if a pitcher on our team struggles, and we have several games that week, our relief options may be limited, due to the amount of games played and pitchers used. You have to hope your starters go deep in the game, to ensure your staff does not get depleted. God Bless, Coach Perkins |
