| Posted Apr 16/10 - Notes from the Varsity and JV Longhorn wins over Cloudland |
| Leadoff hitter, Sawyer Ward scored 5 runs on 2 base knocks, 2 walks, and an HBP Centerfielder, Eric Cullop, had 4 RBI, and hit a 3B for the second consecutive day First baseman, Tyler Fenner hit his 3rd home run of the season and knocked in 4 runs on the day. Freshman, Judd Hammons, Ryan Smith, and Jacob Henson made their Varsity debuts as position players, although Hammons and Henson often run for the Varsity pitcher and catcher positions. Hammons and Smith had base knocks, and Henson hit a 2B and knocked in a run. Hammons and Smith scored runs. Kyle Miller made his 2010 debut as a position player. He walked and scored. Harley Reece earned his 2nd win of the 2010 JV season, as he gave up only 2 runs in 4 innings of work. The JV Longhorns are now 6-2 on the season, as they defeated most of Cloudland's Varsity club by the score of 8-3. |
