On July 1st the Muskies again went to Roseau for
their 2nd matchup of the season against the Royals.Warroad scored the first run with a Brent
Culleton single scoring Kyle Krahn after a leadoff triple, but the Royals
answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning.Demolee would give up one more before being
relieved after the fourth inning by Jalen Stay.Roseau would subsequently add one more run
to take a 4-1 lead in the fifth inning.The next few innings were scoreless with both teams failing to
capitalize on their chances.In the top
of the ninth the Muskies had one last opportunity to bring in some runs.After a quick out to lead off the inning, Shane
Friesner walked leading to a DeMolee single that would get two runners on base.Krahn singled to drive one in cutting the
lead to two.Culleton walked and Allen McBride followed
that up with a two RBI single to tie the game.With the go ahead run on second, Matt Heddan slapped a seeing eye single
straight up the middle scoring Culleton from second to give the Muskies a 5-4
lead, two wild pitches later McBride crossed the plate before the inning was
complete.In the bottom half of the
ninth inning Stay shut down the Royals giving the Muskies a 6-4 comeback win.
